Tonup NC is hosting a vintage bike and scooter rally to benefit Independent Animal Rescue. When you think bike rally, refrain from thinking of Myrtle Beach bike week. Instead think of our own Laura Windley and all her rocker and hipster scooter-friends.
Hot Club is sponsoring the Record Hop this year. They are getting an awesome DJ out to spin some Early Rock, Rockabilly, Jump Blues, R&B etc. It’s a dance party, so the music will be selected accordingly.
The best part is that Hot Clubers get in free! Yes that’s right, mention that you’re with Hot Club of Durham, and admission to the record hop is absolutely free.

I’m new to swing in Durham, but have been dancing for yeeears. this event looks sooooo super fun, and might be the push i need to get out there in this new dance community! I wonder, has the DJ (or anyone who reads this message) heard of Caravan Palace and if so, can I make requests at the dance? This electric swing band from France is rocking my world right now, and it makes me miss lindy very badly. Check out this band post haste! Hopefully i will not wuss out and will be at least at the Armory tomorrow night. I’ll be the new girl with no local dancing friends
